Vantage QC2 Montreal Campus

The story

Located in Pointe-Claire on Montreal's West Island, Vantage QC2 is an exemplar of Canadian green computing. Sited to tap the abundant hydroelectric reservoirs of Hydro-Québec, the 50 MW campus runs on 99.9% carbon-free power at some of the lowest industrial electricity tariffs in North America. Leveraging Montreal's sub-zero winter temperatures, the campus runs in full free-cooling mode for most of the year, providing low-PUE capacity for artificial intelligence and cloud tenants.

Notable

• Operates on 99.9% clean, low-cost hydroelectric power generated by Hydro-Québec's northern rivers.
• Takes advantage of Montreal's harsh Canadian winters for over eight months of free ambient air cooling.
• Delivers 50 MW of high-density critical IT power for North American hyperscalers and AI firms.
• Certified Uptime Tier III with concurrent maintainability across all electrical and mechanical loops.

Expansions

• 2021: Opening of the second 20 MW building on the Pointe-Claire campus
• 2023: Full buildout achieving 50 MW total capacity across the campus
