Use the data

Specs and list prices from the cited public sources; values listed under "estimated" are our estimates. List prices are the vendor or launch list price on the given date, not a quote.

Questions

Where do the numbers come from?

From the vendors’ data sheets, manuals and spec pages, and for prices from the vendor store, launch announcements or a named reseller. Every device lists its sources with the date they were read. Values we had to estimate are marked with ≈.

Can I use this data?

Yes, under CC BY 4.0: copy, adapt and publish it, also commercially, as long as you credit "DC Sim device catalog by RACKDENSITY (rack-density.com), CC BY 4.0" with a link to the license.

Are the list prices current?

They are list prices on the date shown, often the launch price, not a quote. Street prices for older hardware are usually far lower. Devices without a public list price show none.

What is “typical” power?

The draw in normal use as published by the vendor or measured in a cited review: between idle and the maximum the power supply is rated for. Plan circuits and UPS sizes on typical draw with headroom, not on the power-supply rating.
