The story
Cloudflare protects and accelerates Internet applications through a software-defined architecture that runs identical server stacks across every single edge point of presence. By advertising IP prefixes via BGP Anycast from every location simultaneously, requests automatically terminate at the physically and topologically nearest data center. Spanning 330 cities in over 120 nations and directly interconnecting with more than 13,000 corporate networks and Internet exchanges, Cloudflare sits within 50 ms of approximately 95 percent of the world's connected population.
Notable
- Employs BGP Anycast routing so every edge data center advertises identical IP ranges across all continents.
- Positioned within 50 milliseconds of approximately 95% of the world's connected population.
- Interconnects with more than 13,000 distinct networks including major cloud providers and ISPs.
- Processes an average of tens of millions of HTTP requests per second worldwide.
