The story
Huawei Cloud operates a worldwide hyperscale cloud infrastructure anchored by dual domestic mega-centers in Gui'an (Guizhou, built into natural mountainside caverns) and Ulanqab (Inner Mongolia, cooled by Siberian cold air). Across international markets, Huawei's Cloud WAN interconnects major hubs in Singapore, Frankfurt, Johannesburg, and São Paulo via dedicated high-capacity optical backbones. Designed to serve both sovereign enterprise workloads and global 5G/AI network services, it forms China's largest internationally deployed public cloud footprint.
Notable
- Anchored by two 1,000,000-server green compute bases in Gui'an (Guizhou) and Ulanqab (Inner Mongolia).
- Spans over 30 global regions and 84 availability zones across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Africa.
- Connects major international gateways in Singapore, Frankfurt, Johannesburg, and São Paulo.
- Pioneered massive cavern-based hydro-cooled data halls and cold-plate liquid cooling deployments.
