Located on the Slough Trading Estate 30 kilometers west of central London, Equinix LD4 is the financial heart of European electronic capital markets. Since opening in 2007, the colocation facility has housed the primary matching engines, dark pools, and market data gateways for major multilateral trading facilities, high-frequency algorithmic traders, and interdealer currency platforms. Microseconds count here: the facility's internal fiber trays are measured to the centimeter to guarantee equitable latency across trading participants executing trillions of euros in volume annually.
