The story
Located along the rugged Atlantic shoreline of Sines, Portugal, Sines 4.0 (Start Campus) exemplifies the modern clean-energy transition. Built on land adjacent to a shut-down coal-fired power station, the campus repurposed the plant's massive industrial ocean water intake tunnels. Start Campus pumps deep, frigid Atlantic seawater through titanium heat exchangers to cool gigawatt-scale server rows without consuming a single drop of municipal freshwater, while landing EllaLink to Brazil.
