The story

Standing outside Grand Rapids, Michigan, the monumental seven-story pyramid of granite, steel, and reflective glass was built in 1989 as the high-tech development center for office furniture giant Steelcase. After sitting vacant, it was purchased by Switch founder Rob Roy, who converted the eccentric post-modern monument into an ultra-resilient Tier IV data center fortress. Operating on 100% renewable Michigan wind and solar, the Pyramid houses enterprise clouds and university clusters.
