The story
Founded in 1995 in Frankfurt am Main, DE-CIX grew into the world's highest-volume Internet Exchange, peaking at over 17 terabits per second in Frankfurt alone. Through GlobePEER, DE-CIX interconnects carrier-neutral exchange platforms across Europe, the United States, the Mediterranean, India, and Southeast Asia. Participants in New York, Dallas, Madrid, Marseille, Mumbai, and Singapore peer directly with European networks over an automated private software-defined interconnection overlay.
